About Jef
Jef was 18 years old when he was diagnosed with the rarest
form of Ewings Sarcoma located in his pelvis. He had just
graduated 2 weeks prior and was taken to the hospital for a
"pulled muscle". He underwent almost a year of chemo and
radiation. In April of 2006, just after turning 19, he had a
very rare surgery to remove the tumor and most of his
pelvic bone. He out did what the medical field thought he
couldn't do walk within a couple of days. Unfortunately,
tests came back that his cancer had spread to his liver and
to his spine. Jef went to be with Jesus on August 2, 2006.
He was the strongest person I have ever known and I will
miss him so much.

I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free,
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard Him call
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
I found that place at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
Ah yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and share with me
God wanted me now, He set me free.
